Living Out Loud

Main Learning Point :
To help children know and trust that they belong to God and should no longer follow the patterns of this world. They should live transformed lives for Jesus. 
These transformed lives are visible and courageous standing on what is truth and will not hide in the darkness.

Session 1

Treasured

Possession

Teaching Focus:

Jesus is like the man and merchant who gave up everything he had to bring us back to Him because we are His treasured possession.

Learning Aim:

To know that we are so precious to Jesus. That He gave up everything He had to save each one of us from our sins.

Bible Passage:

Matthew 13:44-46 (ICB)

Parable of the Hidden Treasure and

Parable of the Pearl of Great Value

Key Verse :

"But Christ died for us while we were still sinners.

Totally

Transformed

Teaching Focus:

Jesus seeks us out and calls us to Himself, and is able to totally transform our lives when we trust in Him.

Learning Aim:

To know that when we truly encounter Jesus, our lives will be changed by putting away our old sinful ways to put on new Christ-like ways.

Bible Passage:

Luke 19:1-10 (ICB)

Zaacheus is totally transformed by his

encounter with Jesus.

Key Verse :

"If anyone belongs to Christ, then he is made new. The old things have gone; everything is made new!"

Session 3

Complete Dependence

Teaching Focus:

Jesus desires that we live victoriously by having complete dependance on His presence, power and provision.

Learning Aim:

To know that when we place our complete dependence on Jesus, He is able to do mighty acts in and through us.

Bible Passage:

Judges 6 and 7 (NIV)

Gideon's victory comes from his complete dependence on God

Key Verse :

" I can do all things through Christ because

he gives me strength."
