“Zero to Hero” Care Club

Though COVID social distancing measures prevented us from gathering, this did not stop the team from bringing God’s love to the children from the Care Club on 2 May 2020.
At 10am, the team met with our virtual volunteers, Tan Yee Cheng, Joanna Ying and Fuji Yew to pray and begin with a briefing.
The event commenced at 11am with a recap from our previous lesson about “Getting to know you and building rapport” through 2 Corinthians 6:18 “And I will be a father to you, And you shall be sons and daughters to Me says the Lord Almighty.”
The Programme highlights included: “Guess the Superhero” ice breaker, followed by singspiration, a sharing entitled“Zero to Hero” which explored the life of Moses and a testimony by Pastor Flora, on how she overcame a challenging environment while growing up and through God’s grace, emerged, a strong warrior of faith.
In the breakout session, the children were encouraged to memorise and to take comfort in Proverbs 20:30 “Blows and wounds scrub away evil, and beatings purge the inmost being.”
As the saying goes, “No pain, No Gain.” Sometimes it takes a painful experience to make us change our ways. But we take comfort that God our superhero, has conquered death and is victorious!
